The Monteregien Recovery Island
This outdoor multi-material waste collection point is designed for use in busy public areas. It allows for source separation of waste materials in public spaces, while limiting contamination.
The container is mounted on feet to keep it off the ground. It is made of 1/8" aluminum containing at least 50% recycled content.
The side surfaces are complemented by slats made of recycled plastic.
Doors on the front allow easy access to the contents. The lid also tilts forward on a hinge, allowing for top-down emptying if the front is blocked by snow, for example.
The standard oval-shaped openings have a counterweighted latch. The island is equipped with signage around the openings, in accordance with Quebec signage standards.
Plastic liners are available as an option.
